Yarnstravaganza spearheaded by the UK Hand Knitting Association is set to hit Love Wool between 17th and 24th September.  This celebration of all things wooly is to recognise all the wonderful bricks and mortar yarn shops across the UK.

During Yarnstravaganza, there will be lots of special offers, goody bags, competitions and two fun packed Saturday party days.  We also plan to yarn bomb the shop with lots of yarn art party pots.  To get involved take a look at our facebook page Party Pots for more information.

The first of our party days will be Saturday 17th, which will also be a celebration of 6 years in business for Love Wool.  We will have Negin Elliott of Button Home delivering two button making workshops, 10.30am – 11.30am or 12pm – 1pm.  You will have the opportunity to create two sets of beautiful hand made fabric buttons (8-10 buttons in total) either using the fabric provided or you can bring your own. The workshops will last 1 hour and cost £15.  To book a place click on your preferred time 10.30-11.30am or 12-1pm.  Buttons are always the crowning glory of any knitted or crocheted project and can make or break your finished piece.  These beautiful buttons are sure to set your project apart and give it a unique touch of its own.

Our second party day on Saturday 24th sees the return of Louise from Little Forget Me Nots who will deliver a one hour ‘have a go’ Punch Needle Session between 11am and 12pm.  You can drop in and give this taster session a go completely free.

Why not make a day of it and bring your knitting or crochet with you and sit in our cosy relaxation area.  The perfect place to watch the world go by while being on hand to join in the fun!
