TOFT Workshops with Kerry Lord
We have some absolutely fantastic news! The amazingly creative and talented Kerry Lord, author of books such as Edwards Menagerie and designer of all the TOFT toys will be visiting Love Wool on Saturday 10th September to deliver two workshops, hold a book signing and to chat with customers. This is the first time a yarn shop in N. Ireland has hosted a TOFT event and we are very excited to welcome Kerry to our haven of wooly loveliness.
Kerry will be delivering two workshops on 10th September:
Workshop 1 ‘Learn to Crochet with Kerry Lord for Beginners’. You will be able to choose from a range of Level 1 kits from TOFT and join founder, best-selling author and designer Kerry Lord to learn how to crochet a beginner Ed’s Animal. This workshop is perfect for someone new to the craft as Kerry will take you from the very beginning, from how to hold your crochet hook and yarn, to how to use the British double crochet stitch to create 3D shapes for each animal body part. Although there won’t be enough time to complete and sew up your animal in the workshop, you will learn all the tips and tricks needed to make the finishing touches to your Ed’s Animal at home.
Workshop 2 ‘Learn to Crochet with Kerry Lord – Intermediate’. Choose from a range of Level 3 kits from TOFT and join founder, best-selling author and designer Kerry Lord to learn how to crochet a loop stitched Ed’s Animal. This workshop is perfect for someone with a little crafting experience, whether that is crocheting blankets or clothing as you will be learning the Level 3 technique of loop stitch to create your very own fluffy Ed’s Animal. Although there won’t be enough time to complete and sew up your animal in the workshop, it is a great opportunity to get all the stuffing and sewing up tips and tricks directly from Kerry who sews up every animal in her vast menagerie.
Remember to bring any books you want to be signed by Kerry too! but don’t panic if you haven’t got one yet as we will have the full range for sale on the day.
